Light Tackle Tarpon, Flats and Backwater Charter Fishing
with Captain Pat Burns Sanibel Island, Captiva Island,
Boca Grande Pass, Pine Island Sound Fully Insured United States Coast Guard
Certified Fish
with 5th generation Florida native Captain Pat Burns aboard his 18' 9" Back
Country Pro Guide skiff. Pine Island Sound encompasses the backcountry from world-renowned
Boca Grand Pass, behind the barrier islands of Sanibel, Captiva, and Cayo Costa
to Fort Myers Beach. It is famous for numerous species including snook, redfish,
and trout fishing; and, during season, Boca Grand hosts the world's richest tarpon
tournaments.
Bring your lunch, beverages, and smiles, and step aboard to
experience some of the best tarpon and backwater fishing in the world. We will
fish the grass flats, and beautiful mangrove creeks, or depending on the time
of year you book, the inshore Gulf and passes for triple tail, sharks, kings or
mackerel. If
you wish, we can take a break during the day and visit one of the last historic
on the water fish shacks. Eat lunch, put your feet up, and imagine what it was
like for a fishing family to live here and depend on the company ice boat to bring
ice, staples, mail and pick up their fish. These fish houses are in private hands
and grand fathered by the State of Florida. If they ever deteriorate beyond repair,
they can never be rebuilt. One bad hurricane and this piece of history may be
lost to you.
Rely on Captain Pat Burns 40+ years of experience on local
waters to make your trip an enjoyable and memorable outing forever. Member
